What you said about transformation and light, I get it, I really do. And maybe that’s true for some. Maybe even for me, eventually. But this piece wasn’t about the return. It was just about being in it. In the grey. In the weight.
Sometimes writing is how I sit with that, without needing to fix it or frame it as something noble. Just to say, this is where I am right now.
Still, it means a lot that you saw something more in it. That you looked and stayed. That matters.

I live a lot in my head, especially now, and sometimes when your mind is going a million miles per second, you just grab your notepad and scribble furiously. Then you look at it with fresh eyes, maybe a couple of days later, and you think, why did I write this, and then it hits, and you refine it into something that says the same thing without taking four pages. That's exactly how this piece came to be.
